Event Details
After a fantastic first year in 2024, Shaftesbury Arts Centre are delighted to once again be hosting the Shaftesbury Young Performers Festival.
The SYPF is a competitive festival but the emphasis is on celebrating music making and encouraging young performers. The festival is open to young people aged 18 years and under. There are a range of categories and each category will be split so that performers are competing against other young people of a similar age/ ability to themselves.
Performers may enter multiple categories but can only enter each category once. Entrants will be asked to sing/play one piece which best showcases their skills. They will then receive constructive feedback from one of our professional adjudicators.
All entrants will receive a certificate of merit and there will be awards for winners of each category. Selected performers showing great effort or expertise will be invited to play at our festival concert.
Entry:
Early Bird booking – £5
Regular booking (from 1st October) – £7
Fees are per entry not per person. Early bird booking is available until September 30th. All entries must be in by October 31st.
Entry forms will be sent on receipt of payment – please provide an email address during booking. For further information, please email SYPF@shaftesburyartscentre.org.uk.
