Colour Reclaimed

Colour Reclaimed is a new solo exhibition by Dorset-based artist Elizabeth Rose, bringing together a body of paintings that explore memory, landscape and the transformative power of colour.

Working between abstraction and botanical reference, Rose creates expressive paintings in which gesture, colour and open space are allowed to breathe. Her work is rooted in observation, yet moves beyond representation, inviting moments of stillness, movement and quiet contemplation.

At its heart, Colour Reclaimed is a celebration of renewal. It reflects the rediscovery of colour, creativity and joy, and the belief that painting can be both an act of remembering and of beginning again.

Elizabeth Rose is a graduate of City & Guilds of London Art School. Alongside a twenty-five-year career in interior design, she has continued to develop a distinctive painting practice informed by colour, composition and a deep appreciation of space. Her work is held in private collections and the Royal Collection.
