An Evening with Shaftesbury Arts Centre and Friends.

An evening of song, dance, variety and laughter out at Barton Hill, in conjunction with The Gold Hill Festival.

Bring a chair or rug, a picnic and come and join us! Gates open at 6pm with entertainment starting at 6.30pm. Donations on the gate.

Based on the true story of Kempton Bunton, a 60-year-old taxi driver, who in 1961 steals Goya’s portrait of the Duke of Wellington from the National Gallery in London.

Our Music & Drama Group presents ‘The Three Musketeers’. Written by Ken Ludwig, adapted from the novel by Alexander Dumas.

Young D’Artagnan has always dreamed of being a musketeer and protecting the King, but now that he’s in Paris, things aren’t quite so simple! The scheming Cardinal Richelieu is the real power behind the throne and he is plotting to overthrow the King. The only people who can save the King and Queen are D’Artagnan and The Three Musketeers – Athos, Porthos and Aramis. It’s just a shame he’s already managed to offend all of them…

Mick Fleetwood has assembled a stellar cast of musicians to celebrate the music that established Fleetwood Mac as one of the biggest bands in the world – the music of Peter Green.

Composer Bill Whelan rerecorded his mesmerising soundtrack while producer Moya Doherty and director John McColgan completely reimagined the ground-breaking show with innovative and spectacular lighting, projection, stage and costume designs. This powerful and stirring reinvention of the beloved family favourite is celebrated the world over for its Grammy Award-winning music and the thrilling energy of its Irish and international dance.

We are delighted to welcome The Bootleg Shadows on their first visit to Shaftesbury Arts Centre.

In the company of Geoff, Keith, Tony, Tim and Binks the audience is taken on a tour of the Shadows career, with plenty of humour to make it a night out to remember. For anyone who loves the sounds of the 60’s – and enjoys a few laughs on the way – The Bootleg Shadows perform a unique tribute that has audiences humming the tunes and doing the Shadows famous ‘walk’ long after they have left the theatre.
