Venue Hire
With a fully-equipped theatre and associated rooms seating from 20 to 60, Shaftesbury Arts Centre offers a variety of facilities for hire for almost every occasion – whether a conference, lecture or seminar or an exhibition, reception or just a good old-fashioned party.
Facilities may be hired individually or as a package depending on availability, e.g. the Theatre and Phoenix Room together. For an extra charge the Arts Centre can also provide a staffed kitchen and bar facilities.
Times can be varied to suit particular circumstances (rates pro rata or by negotiation). Special rates are available to local registered charities and approved not-for-profit organisations.
The Gallery
The Gallery is a bright and welcoming space with a double front onto the street. It is a very popular space, and bookings are made well in advance.
The Theatre
The Theatre has a maximum capacity of 157. Comfortable raked seating and a control box make this an ideal space for a variety of productions and events.

The Dance Studio
Completed late 2019, our light and airy Dance Studio has a fully sprung floor catering for classes up to 20. Size: 6.68m x 6.41m.
