Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat - Interest Evening: A Music & Drama Group Event

Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat is our Music & Drama Group’s summer 2026 show and we are so excited about it.

This is a classic story told through song and dance with the underlying themes of family, forgiveness, hope and reconciliation.

There is an eclectic mix of music showcasing the different genres of music and dance. From Canaan Day, Close every Door, Benjamin Calypso and many more – it is a little piece of joy!

The show will have a children’s choir (10+) and all principal parts will be adults with some opportunity for doubling up with two different characters.

There will be opportunities to get involved behind the scenes for the show. Some of these roles will be stage management, backstage crew, set painting, set building, supporting the children’s choir rehearsals, costume, chaperoning, makeup and many more.

Behind every show, there is a small army of people behind the scenes making the scenes on stage happen. It really couldn’t happen without them and it is such fun to be part of.

This is an Amateur production by arrangement with LW Entertainment Ltd.

Anyone interested in auditioning and being in the show needs to be a member of Shaftesbury Arts Centre.
