On a weekend backpacking trip in the Catskills, 17-year-old Sam navigates the clash of egos between her father and his oldest friend. This character-driven film explores the awkward dynamics between them, focusing on Sam as she navigates their quarrelling and emotional limitations. When a boundary is crossed, Sam exits the forest, a different girl to when she went in. Everything has changed.
