Shaftesbury’s culinary bookshop The Kitchen Table invites you to join them for an evening with food legend Dame Prue Leith to celebrate the launch of her latest book Life’s Too Short to Stuff a Mushroom.
Sarah Rudder will be in conversation with Prue about her incredible life as they explore all things food, writing and probably a bit of Bake Off. Their conversation will be followed by a Q&A session.
Prue will be signing copies of her new book at the event. You can buy a ticket for this event that includes the book at a reduced price and priority for signings will be given to those with a book included in their ticket. Books will also be available for purchase on the evening.
Thank you for supporting our independent local bookshop and enabling us to bring you events like this one.
About Prue’s new book:
‘It’s taken me a long life to know for sure that life is for living, and that hard graft has to be worth it. So, if you are whacked, short of time or just don’t like cooking, cheating is fine. I cheat all the time, and I LOVE cooking.’ – Prue Leith In this clever cookbook, you’ll find really good recipes without the fuss. How do you cook the perfect steak? What’s the best way to dice an avocado? And what about when it just all goes terribly wrong? Plus, there are plenty of delicious, simple treats to make life easier. Perfect for every home cook, the absolute beginner, or someone who has been doing it so long that cooking has somehow lost its attraction – Life’s Too Short to Stuff a Mushroom contains years of culinary know-how and inspirational meals, squashed into an accessible cookbook. |
Tickets: £15. Special price £35 including book and priority for signing.
