Alice, a reclusive writer living on the windswept cliffs of Southern England during World War II, has her quiet world turned upside down when she is unexpectedly tasked with caring for Frank, a young London evacuee.
Initially resistant, Alice soon finds that she and Frank share more in common than she ever imagined. Together, they must weather the storms of war and solitude, discovering the enduring power of love in the darkest of times.
